Check your airline before booking: Essence is near Gates 1–19 and is only available to passengers flying with eligible airlines from these gates. Ryanair and easyJet passengers cannot access the lounge or board their flight after travelling to this gate area. Once you travel to Gates 1–19, you cannot return to the main terminal departure lounge.
You must enter your flight number when booking. Bookings without a flight number, or those made for a Ryanair or easyJet flight, will be cancelled within 4 days of arrival.

Who can use Essence by Escape Lounges?
The lounge is available to passengers flying with eligible airlines that depart from Gates 1–19. The current eligible airlines are:
Air Algérie, Arkia, British Airways CityFlyer, Corendon Airlines, Emirates, FLYONE, HiSky, Jet2, Lufthansa, Pegasus, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, SunExpress, TUI and Turkish Airlines.
Airlines and departure gates can change. Check your flight details and the current booking information before paying for lounge access.
What is included at Essence Lounge Stansted?
Food and drink
Help yourself to the buffet throughout your visit. Breakfast choices can include cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt and muffins. Later in the day, choose from sandwiches, salads, sweet treats and other light bites. The exact selection can vary.
Tea, coffee and soft drinks are included, along with selected wines and bottled beers. Premium alcoholic drinks may be available to buy separately.
Vegan and gluten-free choices are available. If you have an allergy or another dietary requirement, speak to the lounge team before choosing from the food on offer.
Comfort and facilities

Opening times and length of stay
Essence Lounge is currently open daily from 04:45 until 20:15. Food is removed 30 minutes before closing.
You can use the lounge for up to 2 hours before your flight's scheduled departure time. Your booking confirmation will show your permitted entry time.
Accessibility and children
Essence Lounge is fully wheelchair accessible, and accessible toilets are located close to the lounge. If you need assistance elsewhere in the airport, arrange this with your airline before travelling.
Children are welcome in the lounge, and children under 2 enter free. Guests aged 16 and over are charged the adult price. Add every adult, child and infant travelling to your search so that you can see the correct availability and price for your party.
Dress code
The Essence Lounge has a smart-casual, family-friendly dress code. Tailored shorts are suitable, but sports clothing, camouflage patterns, clothing with offensive slogans, fancy dress and matching hen or stag clothing should not be worn. Footwear must be worn at all times.
The lounge team may refuse entry if clothing or behaviour is unsuitable for a family-friendly setting.
Group bookings
Groups of more than 7 people need authorisation from the lounge before booking. This applies even if the group is split across separate bookings. The lounge may refuse entry to a larger group that arrives without prior authorisation.
How to find Essence Lounge at Stansted Airport
After Security, follow the signs for All Gates and then for Gates 1–19. Take the Stansted Transit System and leave it at the Gates 1–19 stop. Go up the escalators to departure-gate level and follow the signs for the Premium Lounge.
Do not travel to Gates 1–19 unless your flight departs from this area. Once you have made the journey, you cannot return to the main terminal departure lounge.
