What is included in the car hire price?
Our car hire prices include the base rental cost and a collision damage waiver (CDW). This means that if the car is damaged or stolen, you won't be charged any more than your excess. For extra peace of mind, you can also add our Full Protection Insurance to cover the excess entirely. Fuel, additional driver fees and extras such as child seats or GPS may be charged separately at the rental desk.
Do I need a credit card to hire a car?
Most car hire suppliers require a credit card (not a debit card) in the main driver's name at the rental desk. This is used to hold a security deposit, which is released when you return the car undamaged. Check your booking confirmation for supplier-specific requirements.

The minimum age to hire a car is typically 21, and drivers must have held a full UK licence for at least one year. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge, payable at the rental desk. Some premium or specialist vehicles may have a minimum age of 25.
Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, most suppliers allow you to add additional drivers. There is usually a small daily fee for each extra driver, payable at the rental desk. All drivers must be present at pick-up with their own valid driving licence.
