Stuck overseas and worried about being charged for additional days? The majority of car parks we work with will NOT charge you for additional days' parking if you have been delayed because of the flight restrictions caused by the volcano. We've noticed some of our competitors are charging for additional days, and the advice from our experts is that your travel insurance may not cover these extra costs.

For all other car parks, we can only advise that extra days will be charged at the car parks' gate rate which is approximately £8-£12 per day (please note prices are subject to change). You will be charged this at the car park when you leave. We are in constant communication with our suppliers and if this position changes we will update this information.

†Customers will be required to present proof of disruption to their travel arrangements in order to receive their free days' parking. Please note: For customers unable to show details of their planned travel arrangements, normal tariffs and charging arrangements will apply.

*BAA will waive overstay charges for all car park customers (both pre-booked and drive-up) whose return journey has been disrupted by this event and who are able to show details of their travel arrangements. On your return to the car park, please visit the car park's Customer Service office and provide your car park booking details and/or proof of your original travel arrangements. For pre-book customers: your ticket will be validated for exit with no additional payment required. For drive-up customers: car park staff will recalculate the appropriate charge for the duration of your original intended stay. Upon payment of this, your ticket will be validated for exit. Please note: For customers who are not able to show detail of their planned travel arrangements, normal tariff and charging arrangements will apply.
