UK Airport Travelers Update

All airports are now permitting travellers one item of hand luggage after the terrorist threat level was downgraded from 'critical' to 'severe' but delays and cancellations are still likely.

Passengers will be allowed to take on board one item of hand luggage no larger than 35cm x 45cm x 16cm subject to x-ray screening. No liquids are permitted through the airport search point including gels, pastes and lotions. Electronic items, such as laptops, will be accepted as hand-luggage but will be checked thoroughly before admittance.

Tight security and baggage checks remain, causing continued delays. Anyone travelling over the next few days is advised to allow extra time for check-in.

For further information regarding airport security or arrangements travelers are advised to contact the airport or their airline.
