Before Boarding at Humberside Airport

Here are some things to consider before boarding at Humberside Airport:

Check-in

It is important that all passengers have a valid passport (for the next 6 months) before arriving at Humberside Airport. Domestic flights do not necessarily require a passport, but appropriate photographic identification is mandatory.

It is important that passengers contact their airline for specific check-in times, but desks usually open between two and three hours before departure time. There are Express Check-in desks available, enabling you to use touch screens to check-in and print out your own boarding card.

This is the last point at which you can pack anything into your hold luggage, and anything forbidden items taken forward will be destroyed.

Parking

For Parking at Humberside Airport there are four car parks available, all within walking distance of the terminal. The short stay car park - Car Park 1 is located right next to the building but is often busy, and spaces should be booked early for the best rates. Dedicated disabled spaces are also located within Car Park 1. Pre-book and “turn up” long stay parking is available at Car Parks 2, 3, and 4.

Hand Luggage & Liquids

Passengers need to be aware that each airline has their own policy regarding the amount of hand luggage allowed on board the aircraft. The amount of liquids allowed through the security area is now limited, and are only permitted if contained within individual 100ml containers, and placed in a re-sealable, transparent, plastic bag. If more liquids are required on your trip they can be checked into your hold luggage.

Boarding

It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that they check-in with enough time to make it to through security and to the departure gate for boarding. There are display screens situated around the airport detailing boarding times for each flight. There is a new departure lounge to be found close to departure gate 3 with a number of facilities available.
