As an aside, you may be interested to know we witnessed a recovery truck which, having hoisted a van on to it, drove through the exit and smashed the barrier, leaving an open gate for departing cars. Park Smart Liverpool Airport We particularly like being able to park your own car and taking the keys with you knowing nobody has entered your vehicle whilst parked. Very convenient as it is only a few minutes walk to the airport building. The only issue we had was the number plate recognition system did not work. We had to pressing the help button and quote our voucher reference in order for the ticket to come out of the machine and therefore access the car park. I believe this is a common problem. Park Smart Liverpool Airport Convenient Car Park close to the Terminal at Liverpool Airport, only slight criticism is the signs are a bit confusing, the directions tell you to follow the signs for "Cheap Parking" at the roundabout but once you have passed that sign the signs at the barriers have a different name on them, I actually reversed back to check the sign at the roundabout before returning to the barriers, I also saw another driver do the exact same thing when I was returning to pick my car up. Our flight was early hours of the morning so the convenience was paramount. Also, car number plate recognition, when we arrived at the barrier my name appeared on a screen, I took a ticket and drove through, no problems. Park Smart Liverpool Airport It was straight forward and simple to book and park and were the cheapest on net - leave yourself a bit a time as the Sat Nav only gets you onto the road and your in panic mode if in a rush - the car park is well marked to the right side and is next door to Enterprise (you cannot miss it) on the roundabout to the airport entrance and there is usually a CCTV van for those wanting to drop off and pay £100 fine. Just drive to the end of the road. Turn left to the airport or right to the car park - simple once you know. Will consider taking the £1.99 insurance next time - my flight was delayed by a few hours but had made use of the full time allowance (24 hours) to return to the car when parked which avoided extra fees (lucky for me). Two suggestions for improvement would be the signage on arrival which was not clear I had the correct car part. The foot access is not great when using a trolley as you have to walk through the part where the cars drive through the barriers. Why not have a marked walkway with curbs removed. Park Smart Liverpool Airport Car park is easy to find, I've used it a lot and there are always lots of spaces available - I've used other airport parking where you have to drive up and down every aisle hoping for an empty spot, but if you just keep going towards row and beyond there is generally ample room. I love that I can walk to the terminal and not have to faff around waiting for a bus transfer. Easy entry and exit. Prices do seem to have increased in the last couple of years, but much less hassle than public transport. I feel that my car is safe and secure when I leave it. If I could make a suggestion please and people identified themselves by showing their badges online or producing them,on a one off, I beleive the first two rows to the right of the park could be for disabled drivers. I'm not suggesting free parking by any means as your rates are very competetive. But it would be of great help to those with walking difficulties but not requiring aids ie wheelchairs. Although I must say, that on this occassion our flight was 12hours delayed/cancelled, and I panicked about not being on time, however, I put down 10pm, but when we approached the barrier at 3 pm it promted on screen that we owe £90, again we pressed for assistance to find out it was 10 pm. I feel that you charge over the top rates for something that is not customers fault. i.e. cancellations of flights. by all means do a small charge, but not a over the board charge. However this time there was a problem with the barrier, resulting in a long queue of people having to wait for someone to come and fix it. I ended up getting out of the car and walking to the airport to check in my luggage, leaving my husband to wait to park the car. Park Smart Liverpool Airport Used Airpark at Liverpool many times and usually brilliant at 'check in' but on the last visit (10th -17th June) I was issued with a ticket but the barrier did not open, or had not recognised my number plate. This lead to some delay but the attendant was most helpful and all was well. On return the same thing happened and I had to contact the attendant again. I had not expected to need reference numbers etc and had kept them safely packed in my case - not wanting to leave them in the car. Again some fuss and delay in getting out but, again, the attendant was helpful and raised the barrier as soon as he found my pre-booking.
