Purple Parking Park and Ride Heathrow Airport Generally a good efficient service. Having navigated to Terminal 5 Heathrow, Purple Parking was not signposted, however the postcode did work after a small detour that Google Maps takes you on. Parking site was very tight/narrow but process very easy. Buses regular - just glad we got back for the last bus on the return and did not have to take a taxi back tot he car (Purple Parking bus transfer stops late evening). When l desperately needed 'speak' to you at the airport, it just went to an automated message about where to get the bus at each terminal. Purple Parking Park and Ride Heathrow Airport Used Purple Parking for Heathrow T5 for first 2 weeks in February. Had originally booked for Gatwick at a really good discounted price in December (£65). However, our flights were changed to Heathrow at short notice so the price went up to £165! We were given a voucher for the entire original cost to put towards the new cost which helped. Purple Parking Park and Ride T3 Heathrow Airport Parking was simple and straightforward but when we came home first the bus did not stop at the front of the queue causing mayhem then we went to Terminal 5 to let off passengers which meant most of the people and thier luggage who just got on had to get off again to let them off which was ridiculous the driver should have been empty when he picked us up at Terminal 2. We were particularly pleased that the shuttle bus ran as advertised every 20 minutes. Our car was ready as soon as we arrived but it would be helpful if the directional signing was clearer, eg 'area B' seemed to be on both sides of your reception area which was confusing. Unfortunately this time having arrived at the bus stop at 22.50hrs we waited for 35 minutes . We had been told at time of drop off that the last bus was at 23.30 and if we missed it had to make our own way to car park. The timetable said buses run till 23.45. We were never told that we should ring to arrange pick up which apparently you can do after 22.00hrs. The details at the bus stop do not clearly state this either. An area for improvement with the bus drop off / collection at airport if there’s a way that our expectations could be better managed. In this, I mean realistically tell me how long I need to wait for the bus to pick me up at Bay22 at T3. Technology exists to do this (An App such as Uber’s tracker). I waited 25 mins for the bus to collect me. The taxi rank next to the bay would have charged me £8 to go to the car collection. Other than that - great service with helpful staff. However: - on the outbound journey the driver took us to T2 first, even though there were only 4 of us on the bus and we all wanted to go to T3. - on the return journey the bus was full (at T3) and the driver sat in his cab as people got on, leaving their luggage everywhere. After everyone was onboard, he got up and insisted on moving ALL of the luggage into different racks. Why not either ask people to use the racks as they get on, or stand by the rack? - When we came to collect our car, the lady at reception couldn't find the keys and began to panic that she'd given them to someone else. The supervisor was doing his best to sort it out but there was a wait of about half an hour which was a bit stressful as I was running a bit late but fortunately the airport was quiet and still had plenty of time to catch my flight. Perfect service on way back even though flight very delayed. On the other hand, next time I travel I would probably go with another parking company or find another suitable option mainly because there was no one helping with my suit cases. The drivers just stand aside making you lift your luggage’s into the boot with no support. This happened both ways (outbound and inbound), as a matter of fact inbound the driver was standing off watching me while puffing ciggerate right into my face. Purple Parking Park and Ride Heathrow Airport I have used Purple Parking before & was always happy with it but have to say when the shuttle arrived at the airport there was complete chaos as there were a lot of people waiting & the driver had no control on who got on & there was a lot of unhappy people. Maybe the driver should have the names or references of the people who were due to get on his shuttle & have the remainder wait for the next. However on return to the UK and collecting the car we found a coffee cup in the car with mould growing in it. I arrived and parked my car instantly without the need to drive round looking for a space and a mini bus was waiting to take me straight to the airport. On my arrival back into Heathrow I phoned the company and they arranged for a mini bus to pick me up, I waited around 5 minutes and the bus arrived. However on our return to terminal 4 we were given a ticket that said to go to bus stop 22. There was a bit of confusion as there doesn't appear to be a 22. On the way back - had to wait half an hour for the shuttle bus; driver more concerned with tickets than customers; no help at all with luggage. Picking up car was efficient, but staff lacked the friendliness and helpfulness of those on duty when I checked the car in. A picture of the site.. a distinctive multi-storey pretty central location next to one of the Premier Inns... and a clear map is needed showing the Bath Road and its relationship to the underpass from the M4. Returning we had to wait rather a long time for the bus to arrive and there was a big delay getting into the car-park behind checking-in vehicles.
