Purple Parking Park and Ride T3 Heathrow Airport Parking was simple and straightforward but when we came home first the bus did not stop at the front of the queue causing mayhem then we went to Terminal 5 to let off passengers which meant most of the people and thier luggage who just got on had to get off again to let them off which was ridiculous the driver should have been empty when he picked us up at Terminal 2. An area for improvement with the bus drop off / collection at airport if there’s a way that our expectations could be better managed. In this, I mean realistically tell me how long I need to wait for the bus to pick me up at Bay22 at T3. Technology exists to do this (An App such as Uber’s tracker). I waited 25 mins for the bus to collect me. The taxi rank next to the bay would have charged me £8 to go to the car collection. Other than that - great service with helpful staff. It would be helpful if the message could include the time when the next bus will arrive so you could wait inside the terminal. The location of the new car park is more convenient than the old one. However: - on the outbound journey the driver took us to T2 first, even though there were only 4 of us on the bus and we all wanted to go to T3. - on the return journey the bus was full (at T3) and the driver sat in his cab as people got on, leaving their luggage everywhere. After everyone was onboard, he got up and insisted on moving ALL of the luggage into different racks. Why not either ask people to use the racks as they get on, or stand by the rack? - When we came to collect our car, the lady at reception couldn't find the keys and began to panic that she'd given them to someone else. The supervisor was doing his best to sort it out but there was a wait of about half an hour which was a bit stressful as I was running a bit late but fortunately the airport was quiet and still had plenty of time to catch my flight. Perfect service on way back even though flight very delayed. On the receipt it stated please call when you arrive back in airport, which i did, then was told to go to terminal 4 bus stop even though T3 was orginal place. Some of the people on the bus were not clear of the procedure re which ticket should be left on car and therefore had no phone number to ring on return from their trip. Maybe this part of the organisation could be a little clearer. On arrival back from our trip, we phoned the allocated number and received no answer, we held for several minutes with no result, Fortunately I had remembered that the departure driver mentioned bus stop 22, so we made our way there and waited for a bus. Again I think that the organisation re phoning and the dedicated bus stop needs improving. Once there was a bus, transfer was quick and our car was in a very convenient position. I was flying BA so booked Purple Parking for Terminal 5 but, when I checked in the flight was departing from Terminal 3. I contacted Airparks on the Sunday the day before departure to ask if this was a problem. I was told the best way was to cancel my original booking and create a new one, which was done for me. But when I arrived at the car park on the Monday morning it was exactly the same car park but just a different bus. So the re-booking cost me over £7 for no reason whatsoever.
