Edinburgh Airport's expansion program is in constant progress. It is hoped that the present passenger numbers will double to Edinburgh into 6th place in the UK for passenger capacity.
Recently completed construction work includes a new immigration hall and a centrally located check-in area.
The 'old' terminal received a major upgrading and reopened in April 2001
