APH Birmingham Airport You did reasonably well but from the time we arrived at the bus stop outside the airport building on returning to Birmingham, it took about half an hour for the Airparks bus to arrive and depart to the car park. The reason was that the bus was slow to arrive and there was a long queue to get on the bus with their luggage. As the bus was full up we had to stand all the way to the car park. APH Birmingham Airport Not having to drive round a huge site trying to find a space. It was very simple to drive through the gate and leave the car next to reception. Not long to wait for the bus which dropped us outside departures. The return was simple, text to say we were back and by the time we got outside the bus was waiting for us. The only thing that was concerning was that the person who had moved my car obviously didn't know about SAAB parking in reverse before the key (which is in an "odd" place) can be removed. I found my gearstick forced into a very strange position that it has never been in before, which took a lot of effort to get it back into neutral! APH Birmingham Airport Getting to the car park itself was not straight forward. When we got there, we were told that we were in the wrong car park! We were told that we needed to travel another 20 minutes to the other car park. Luckily, as I was about to leave, another lady who had used Airparks to book APH like us arrived at the desk. A 2nd receptionist then checked the system + found both us. We would have been going round in circles if I had left sooner! The service itself on dropping + collecting of car was good. I can’t remember the coach drivers name might be a John but he was very helpful assisting me with my case as I was a lady travelling alone for the first time. The driver was extremely happy and chatted to all passengers and this I think is very refreshing . All in all a good efficient , friendly ,polite service. All staff here are a credit to you. Got to the airport in no time, the driver helped unload the baggage. Upon return, I text the number on my ticket, we got baggage off the carousel in the airport, straight up to bus stop A. APH Birmingham Airport The site is easily reached, secure and well placed. It has toilet and suitcase weighing facilities and the process couldn't be simpler. You never have to wait very long for transport at either end. My only criticism is that if there are a good number of cars wanting to exit at the same time, the exit process is very slow. What he neglected to tell any of us was that there was a code on the card which we needed to use for the gate. The queues were frustrating as it appeared not many of us "got " that message . However i found it hard to find as the postcode took me to a different place and it was early morning and couldn’t find my way back to you this was probably due the work going on around there. The only negative comment I have to make is regarding the pick up from the airport. Although the transfer is good, it was a bit chaotic trying to board the bus with people pushing to get on, even though they were not the first in the queue. This is always the issue with car parking providers and is not specific to APH. APH Birmingham Airport This was probably one of our best experiences of airport parking. We arrived, parked the car and very quickly boarded the bus, sat back and enjoyed the trip to the airport. Yes it may be a little distance to the airport, but that made it so much easier to get to and from. Our dread was the return, having previously stood in the cold waiting for meet and greet to return our car, because it was a busy time. Also waiting for the bus to return to our car, on another occasion, with every other companies buses arriving. Upon return the driver was awaiting our arrival at the designated location. The only criticism was that we had to wait quite a long time before we could leave the airport and we were in a hurry to get home. However, this was not entirely the drivers fault as one passenger decided to drop off his luggage and go in search of his wife. Think he should not have been allowed to do that. We were very impressed with the picking up from the airport back to the car park and the ease with which we were able to collect our vehicle and we were on our way home within a few minutes of being dropped off. Simply say leave at junction 9 if travelling south and do NOT refer to 'a large roundabout on the M42' as when you are driving on the motorway you are not aware of a roundabout! Pleased to see that you have very good drivers but very disappointed that we had to wait 30 mins for pickup from airport on return on 30 May.
