Short Stay Stansted Airport Barrier opened on entry, took ticket, parked for 4 days, barrier opened on exit without the use of the ticket, thats all I wanted, barriers to open on entry and exit without hassle, Mind you its very expensive £67 for 4 days and I booked it 6 months in advance. Was then concerned we’d have fight on our hands! On reading ticket it looked as if it might be ok as Reg no printed on it etc. Thankfully it worked perfectly when we left - barrier went up and out we drove. Your paperwork needs to reflect this! I thought the instructions re entering the car park were not quite clear - they suggested the barrier camera would recognise the car registration but did not say a ticket should be taken from the machine. In fact I thought I saw somewhere that a ticket should not be taken as I might get charged twice. A ticket did appear in the slot but until it is removed you cannot tell whether it has recorded the reg number. I think some clarification would help. Short Stay Stansted Airport The parking itself is ok, easy to book and to find it however when leaving the car park the barrier did not open and the message said we've £440 outstanding bill to pay. This caused a lot of stress as we pre-paid for the parking. My real concern was that I am deaf and getting help was hopeless as I can’t hear the intercoms. Luckily another person nearby offered to help and my original booking was honoured. Short Stay Stansted Airport Getting in was no problem, but when leaving the barrier did not raise automatically, forcing me having to put my ticket into the barrier machine which suggested I need to pay £385!!! My real concern was that I am deaf and getting help was hopeless as I can’t hear the intercoms. Luckily another person nearby offered to help and my original booking was honoured. My car registration number was recognised, I took my ticket and the barrier opened. On the way out however, I had to speak to an operator as the ticket machine wouldn’t accept my ticket. Short Stay Stansted Airport in the end it was good location, but the instructions were not clear.for premium it said "A super-simple service, where all you need to do is park in the Premium car park and walk the short 3-minute distance to the terminal" for other short stay it said "A super-simple service, where all you need to do is park in the Green car park and walk the short distance to the terminal" suggesting they were all different car parks. turns out there is premium in each colour carpark.we ended up in orange as it was the last one & we had to go somewhere. once in it there was no indication of the difference between premium & standard orange. there were spaces marked priority, but we didn't risk parking in those as ours said premium not priority. apart from that it was very convinient. Your instructions for arrival procedure advise not to press the button to get a parking ticket but the machine automatically delivers one. I was expecting the auto number plate reader to recognise my car and open the barrier. This did not happen. I spoke with assistance and she said to ignore the instruction given to me by you and take the ticket and be sure to keep it for when exiting. This was correct as the barrier only opened once the ticket was inserted at the exit. Somewhat confusing and not helpful especially when due to a traffic delay en route time had become restricted and so my arrival procedure became unnecessarily stressful.
