Heathrow Airport Drop Off & Pick Up

Heathrow Airport Drop Off & Pick Up

Navigating your way through the hustle and bustle of Heathrow Airport can be a daunting task. Let Airparks help you with our handy Heathrow Airport Drop Off & Pick Up information for the Heathrow terminals.

Dropping Off Passengers

If you plan to drop somebody off at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2, 3, 4 or 5, this is done on the lanes outside the terminals. You can unload on the forecourts, but waiting is not permitted. The forecourts are patrolled by the Police as well as airport staff, so you will be asked to move if you are seen to be waiting.

If you are looking for somewhere convenient to park up, take a look at the parking prices below.

Heathrow Pick Up

If you're collecting someone from the airport, it's good to check if their flight is on time via the Heathrow Live Flight Arrivals first.

When you arrive at the airport, please note that you are not permitted to wait on the airport forecourts due to security reasons. Instead, you need to use one of the Short Stay Car Parks.

We recommend waiting in the Long Stay Car Park as the first two hours are free. However, please bear in mind that this is located quite far away from the airport, and requires a shuttle transfer.

Heathrow Airport Parking Long Stay

You can use the Long Stay car park for up to two hours for FREE. However, this means that your vehicle can't re-enter Long Stay parking within a 24 hour period. Please note that private hire and trade vehicles cannot park here, and must use the Authorised Vehicle Area (AVA) instead. When you exit the car park, it will need to be authorised by either the exit intercom or by a member of the car parking team.

Average journey times from Long Stay:

  • Terminal 2 - 10 minutes
  • Terminal 3 - 18 minutes
  • Terminal 4 - 5 minutes
  • Terminal 5 - 8 minutes
