JetParks 2 East-midlands Airport I didn't enjoy the fact that the car registration wasn't detected by the camera on arrival nor on departure luckily I made a copy of the barcode on my booking confirmation to scan at the entrance and exit points. There's a lot of potholes and loose stones that can cause damage to the car tyres and the shelters are not big enough sometimes when it's raining as not many people and suitcases can fit in them and you have to stand out in the rain as there is nowhere else to shelter, hopefully these issues can be addressed as the cost of parking should have generated enough money over the years to pay for the improvement to the parking areas. Simply followed the directions to the Jet 2 car park, barrier lifted, parked up, wheeled cases to a bus stop in the car park, waited for the shuttle bus for a few minutes which took us directly to the Departure Terminal. Such a stress-free way to kickstart your holiday. On my return to UK, I left the airport, waited for less than ten minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive, took a seat and was taken back to the Jet 2 car park. Could not have been more straightforward. I tried to amend the booking but couldn’t find any number to sort out the problem so had to sort it at 3am at the machine on exit. Found a space to park even though the car park was fairly full. The bus arrived within 10 minutes. Short ride to the terminal. On return at 2:30am there was a bus waiting to take people back to the car park. Short ride to the car park and again the barrier opened automatically and let us out. No problems. It may be better to mark bus stops “long stay and Jet parksâ€at arrivals separately as about 8 of us jumped on the long stay one believing it went to both as signage on stop says ! Two years running the "registration reader" didnt read our number plate. Maybe you should have clearer instructions and lines at the exits so that customer know where to park. Although the number plate was not recognised on exit just a simple intercom conversation was required. On our return, we had to wait 15 minutes on the bus at the airport presumably while the driver had a rest, which was irritating because we were already one and a half hours late and family were waiting for us. Then on exit, the barriers wouldn’t raise and we spent ages trying to find the button to call someone, which was not at all clear. Altogether I feel things could have worked out better. JetParks 2 East-midlands Airport The convenience of the whole process. Buses to transport you to the departure area are frequent. One negative this time was the attitude of the female driver who transported us to the airport on Saturday 28th April. The bus was busy and all of the luggage racks were full when we boarded meaning that I had to store our luggage in the aisle. She constantly tutted at us and other passengers who had no option to do the same.The bus was clearly not big enough to meet the demand at that time of the morning (about hrs.) and it would have been better to have been one of your bendy-buses. When we alighted at the terminal even one of the cabin crew who presumably uses the service on a regular basis commented to us that she was out of order and informed us that she would report the driver to the appropriate people. JetParks 2 East-midlands Airport It was very straightforward and the transport to and from the Airport was really good and overall we were really pleased. The only issue was the number plate recognition didn’t work on arrival or leaving. So we had to call through to allow us through the barrier, which on arrival did take a few minutes to answer. JetParks 2 East-midlands Airport I gave 5 as it is easy to find but no more because so many cars over spilled from bays to make it hard to find a space - 3 spaces but two cars blocking them. We had to park new building work and car had a lot of dust and a good deal in the brakes making them rubble alarmingly. There was a loud noise as the hand brake came off to drive away. The incoming journey was very poor at 1am in the morning as we waited in a large queue in very cold conditions when a flexi-bus eventually arrived it was every person for themselves as people crushed to get on. However the actual car park had no clear signage or directions, I ended up at a dead end with very little room to reverse out of due to cars parked not in spaces. I assume this is due to more spaces being sold than there is available. The shuttlebus took 30 minutes to leave the airport to go to the car park, unsure why but if this is always the case it should be clearly advertised, as it could cause extra charges to park for longer to take into account the hour it took to get from the airport to the car park.
