We just had to arrive at the designated car park, drive up to the barrier which opened straight away parked the car and walked the short walk to the terminal. When arriving back it was just as easy! Short Stay 2 East-midlands Airport I liked the ease of parking so close to the airport departures, and able to end my return journey, immediately instead of waiting for transfers. However, after reading the reviews saying Short stay 2 parking wasn't sign posted until you happen to find the car park, I thought you would have responded to that. I knew about that issue and was still directed to the Short stay car park 1 and had to spin the car back round and drive the wrong way until I got back to the round about. Wasn't at all happy about being put in that situation. A simple sign at the first round about would stop everyone doing the same on their first time to the airport. PLEASE PLEASE put that right as I will forget next time and know I will do the same also I do intend to use this airport in the future and would like to recommend it to friends. Short Stay 2 East-midlands Airport Booking system easy to use. However, needed to amend booking and found unable to do so on website. Had to call to speak to someone - on hold for approx. 25 minutes at ? pence per minute. Needed to amend booking from 1 week to 2 - told that, as the car park is number plate recognition, the car would have to exit and re-enter the car park to be able to do this. Totally unrealistic as I would be in France! Then told that could leave the car for the 2nd extra week and pay daily charge of 'no more than £9 per day'. Did in fact call the airport parking direct to confirm this to be told that the extra daily charge would be £20 per day. This would have made for very expensive parking and a nasty surprise at the end of my holiday! Decided to not use the car park this time due to the uncertainty of the extra charges so had to pay a friend to take me to the airport. Not a good experience.
