We assumed that meet and greet would mean that we were met AT the terminal itself, not a considerable distance away in the car park. Your return procedure meant that we had to wait in the cold for a considerable time, despite following your instructions re. calling once we had received our baggage. Unfortunately, at Birmingham airport the Valet car park which you used is a fair trek from the terminal buildin and in the open. Both we and or luggage were wet both times! Absolutely disgusted with half hearted attempt at a car wash and valet ... it had obviously just been down be and whoever did it hasnt got a clue what they are doing . The carpets had been hoovered but that was it ... the money isn’t the issue , it was the complete lack of service . When I asked how much they wanted for the mediocre wash I was told £20... What a joke... I refused and the attendant rang his supervisor who didn’t even apologise , just told me that it would be £10. On this occasion at Birmingham Airport on June 1st, I booked through Maple, we couldn't get through to the phone number we were asked to call when we were 15 minutes from the airport. By the time we did (after 3 attempts)we had reached the valet parking area at Birmingham Airport. There was then a misunderstanding of which bay we were in, as a consequence the time limit had gone over and we were forced to pay the extra parking fee to the Maple driver. The Maple driver said the parking fee was £8+ as I didn't have change I had to give gave Maple driver £10. I just felt totally ripped off this is malpractice. It’s the first time I have used the service and I pointed out a couple of points which needed atttending to and they were still the same when I picked up the car. The interior smelled like chips and there was still rubbish in the door pockets. I understand your cleaners would not throw every piece of paper away as it might me important to your customers but bits of paper and rubbish are not the same thing. Also the driver seat position had been adjusted, the radio had been moved off the normal station selected, and the heated seats were on - all of which are minor things but annoying especially as the car is only parked a 5 minute drive away. The entrance to the parking area i needed to be in this time had a no entry sign at the entrance which meant i had to park elsewhere & see where i needed to be, i then had to go round the 1 way system again. On arrival i went to the office & was told i need to see a guy in the car park - he could not find my registration number. On arrival back into the UK, i booked it for 5pm pick up, our flight was delayed so when i arrived at 6.10pm, i rang the number & was told my car was at Gatwick? I then got told to proceed to the car park i dropped it off at, arrived there & got told car would be there in about 10 mins. Maple Parking Meet and Greet Birmingham Airport The initial drop off and the following pick up went well, although it did take a little while for the phone to be answered when I rang them to let them know I had landed (around 3 mins). The car was just pulling into the pickup zone though as I arrived so I was very happy with that. A slight disappointment was that when I got in the car I found many of the settings had been altered. For example, it had been permanently set to sports mode, heater had been switched off and the radio station had been changed. Was this necessary to park the car? What I didn't like this time, and I use you probably 3-4 times a year. Was that we had to wait, about mins at 3am for someone to turn up. We gave plenty of time. My wife has difficulty walking and it is now a considerable distance to the departure terminal. Coming back was OK as she was in an OCS wheelchair with assistance. What if it pours with rain? Due to unknown road closures (2) although I had checked the night before, it took us two and a half hours to get to the airport. Maple were very understanding over our delay as we had arranged an approx. arrival time. Maple meet and greet were excellent both outgoing and incoming. I could find no fault with the service at all and was very relieved we had booked because this saved us vital time in catching our plane as we were held up so much on our journey to airport. Maple Parking Meet and Greet Birmingham Airport The drop off at the airport was fine quick with no problems. Unfortunately that was not the case when we returned. We rang only when we had collected our bags as per the instructions. When we got outside at the pick up location we had to wait a further 20 minutes before our car arrived. It was raining and we were very wet. There is no shelter and the assistants kept saying its on its way. I eventually rang the office again to ask what was taking so long to be told they were very busy. I must say that it made the beginning and end of our holiday perfect. No hastle, just drive to the airport and leave your car with a chauffeur who takes your car to a secure car park for the duration of your holiday whilst you just glide into departures. On the return journey after collecting our cases we gave them a quick call and within 10 minutes our car was brought back to the parking bay we started from. Upon our return the information supplied by your Company stipulated that we should telephone when we were waiting for our baggage, which I did and was told to ring again when we were leaving the terminal, as we had only a small window of opportunity before the need to pay to exit the Carl park, however after the second telephone call we waited approximately 20 mins before the Car arrived. Also the sign for bays is on the fence which makes it not so visible, although instructions say in to car park and turn left the sig for Airparks and bay markings are not very visible, especially if you have other drivers behind wanting to get parked.
