Clayton Manchester Airport Quite shabby service really. Struggled to find parking space on arrival. When we returned from holiday, were quite rudely told that our car was, and I quote "somewhere on the car park round the back" which then took us an age to find. no help, or indication of where it might be parked given. When we eventually found it , almost every setting within the vehicle had been altered. Aside from the seats and mirrors, which we obviously would have expected to be changed, but even the radio station was different!! Mr Garratt 25 Sep, 2022

Clayton Manchester Airport Arrival was tricky to find a space and was incredibly tight to park. Had to unload car and passengers before reversing in. Then horrendous for me to get out of car Even though I had filled in form online I was given more to fill in and return to reception by midnight. As I was on a very early morning flight I wanted to go straight to bed rather than going back to reception. Return was very quick and easy and car had been taken to an easily accessible space. Clayton Manchester Airport The Clayton hotel is literally on the doorstep to the three Terminals. However, you would still need to use the Hotel shuttle service that is provided as the roads are very busy with airport traffic. We've used the hotel twice in the last 4 months and the food and accommodation is top notch. I'd give the food 5 star rating with an amazing selection of foods. The hotel rooms are clean and smart with quick access to the shuttle 'pick up' area out of the front door. These run every 15 minutes but it's important to book your slot via the Reception desk as it can get very busy, especially at peak times The Shuttle drivers are friendly and very helpful. They can get very busy so expect slight delays in fetching you back to pick your car up from the hotel. Would I use them again?...Every time. Mrs Thirsk 04 Apr, 2022

Clayton Manchester Airport Radio channel had been changed. Hood well had been put down which indicates that the roof had been down. We had left the hood well up as we needed the boot space for our luggage. Not sure if they had had the roof down when moving the car but there was no need for them to change it or the radio station when just parking. Mr King 19 Mar, 2022

Clayton Manchester Airport Hotel lovely. Room facing lifts and air conditioning units out the window so felt had short straw on that front. Comfy bed, soundproofing pretty good re lifts but we could hear people talking as they went in and out.. Food lovely as were staff especially in restaurant. Transfers to airport good. Travelled 4 hours to hotel and wanted to put bag with those clothes in the car in the morning and were told £10 charge if key not handed in on that day.! Clayton Manchester Airport Stayed at Clayton Hotel before flight and left car for return. Great price, amazing reception staff, large clean rooms and excellent transfer again with first class staff. The free bus from hotel was a little disorganised and a bit of a scrum down for various terminals so we sidestepped and ordered cab. Clayton Manchester Airport Hotel was fine but we had problems collecting the car on return as we came back sooner than planned due to a medical issue with my partner. Despite giving them 3 days notice the car wasn't back for us when we got back to the hotel and we had to wait almost an hour for it to be returned. Clayton Manchester Airport Perfect start to our honeymoon, checked into Clayton with no issues, car was sorted for the duration of our holiday. Hotel friendly and clean. Ate in the restaurant food was very nice only downside was service was very slow. On return we called the hotel and shuttle bus pulled up as we walked outside of airport, checked out and car was ready and waiting. Hassle free would definitely stay here next time. Clayton Manchester Airport Great car parking facility - this visit we didn't think the food at Claytons was as good as usual - service was very slow and as I am gluten free I was told the chef could make small changes to the menu to accommodate - in the end the only thing I was offered was a Caesar salad - which consisted of just lettuce and a few pieces of chicken. Clayton Manchester Airport Only things I have to mention, when we arrived at our hotel including the parking, for some reason they had our parking down as until thursday when we didn't arrive back until friday and it stated we had it until friday on my confirmation from yourselves. It wasn't really an issue as the receptionist just said to put we are arriving late thursday and it will be ok. Maybe have a bit more communication with the hotel so they know exactly what was confirmed to airparks guests. We also didn't want to eat at the hotel, we were going to meet family for dinner for our last night in the uk so we had to take the car, but the receptionist took the ticket we used to get in on check in, we spoke to another receptionist and it seemed bizarre to her that we needed to take the car back out. She gave us a pass to exit the gate and it was fine, but it was a bit it seemed that once your at the hotel you can't leave, bit frustrating. Miss Street 02 Aug, 2017

Clayton Manchester Airport Everything went very well until i tried to get out of the hotel car park, they said it will read your number plate at the toll and let you out, but just in case here is a ticket to put in the machine,neither of these worked when i put the ticket in the machine it asked me to pay £160. this is not what you want when you have just had a long flight and its dark and pouring down with rain, luckily one of the hotel buses was coming throught the toll on the other side and i told the driver and he used his pass to let us out. this would not put me of useing the Clayton Hotel again but they need to look in to this problem and solve it quickly. Clayton Manchester Airport On arrival at the hotel, there was no disabled parking available - it was taken up by a delivery lorry and the hotel minibus. Receptionists were pleasant enough but there was only 1 on and a queue waiting. Eventually another arrived. The pre-booked dinner was uninspiring - we would have been better just buying a meal when we arrived as there was very little choice- and service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't full. n our return, we were told our car was parked in Zone 3 but they omitted to tell us we needed to get someone to let us out of zone 3 which was closed off by temporary barriers. Thy either didn't know or weren't that bothered. We had to queue again to complain we couldn't get out and then for someone to let us out. Clayton Manchester Airport Not really that good. You have to surrender your car keys on arrival so you cant return to your car with the clothes you travelled in as we'd hoped. The car has to be placed in the rear of the hotel in the dark, in the rain. The hotel bar was inadequately staffed and the room was musty. Transit bus to T1 didn't arrive at the time agreed with reception the night before and we gave up with the return and walked back to the hotel. Clayton Manchester Airport Everything perfect; a hassle free start and finish to our honeymoon. Checked in at the hotel where knowledgable, polite staff explained how the process worked. We were able to keep the car keys until we got picked up for our early morning flight, allowing us to leave our overnight bags in the car which saved messing with the holiday luggage. A minor criticism here; if this was clearer online it would have prevented me dragging all the luggage to the room - I could have grabbed it when I left the over night bag. Then driven to the terminal with plenty of time by friendly staff. Lots of transfer 'buses' running. The return was easy too; calling for a pick up from the terminal - which arrived quickly. The only thing we had problems with was the menus, in the restaurant we found not really family friendly and the bar was very limited and with myself having dietary requirements I struggled find something to eat. Clayton Manchester Airport I had indicated when booking that I have mobility problems and would prefer a room arranged for disabled use. There was no note of this when I arrived. The hotel staff werecourteous and efficient and succeeded in getting me a room near the lift but it still required a long walk,tomget to the lift.
