Download at East Midlands
Allow more time than usual if you are flying from East Midlands Airport (EMA) this weekend, as thousands travel to Donington Park for the Download Music Festival.
East Midlands airport authorities warn passengers that major roads and motorways leading to this venue are likely to be busy from Friday 13th June to Sunday 15th June 2008. However the airport has been working with the organisers to put in place a traffic management system to minimise delays.
Surface Access Manager at East Midlands Airport, Colleen Hempson said “We always recommend that our customers check-in at least two hours before their flight is due to depart. With the extra cars on the road this weekend, we are advising people to allow even more time in planning their journey to and from the airport. We don’t want people to miss their flight or aircraft to be delayed, so the more prepared you can be – the better”.
If you're travelling from East midlands Airport during this time, remember to allow extra journey time to avoid delays. For all the latest news and unbeatable prices on airport parking, remember to check back with Airparks.
