Parking options with East Midlands airport hotels

There are two different types of parking that can be booked to accompany our hotels at East Midlands airport, and whichever option you choose will affect how you transfer to and from the terminal. To help you decide which package will suit you, we've put together a quick guide to explain what each kind of parking entails:

  • Parking at the hotel - With this type of package, you simply need to drive straight to your chosen accommodation and park within the grounds. Your car will stay there for the duration of your holiday, meaning your transfers to the airport will need to be arranged to and from the hotel. Depending on which hotel you've booked, this could be by taxi - which will be organised for you by reception - or in some cases via the hotel's own shuttle. The only exception to this is the Jury's Inn which does not provide transfers due to being within walking distance of the airport.
  • Parking at Long Stay 4 or JetParks 2 - Some of the hotels near East Midlands airport can be booked with parking either at the official Long Stay 4 car park or at JetParks 2. With this type of parking you will still need to park at the hotel for the duration of your overnight stay, but you will need to move your car to either Long Stay 4 or JetParks 2 on the morning of your flight. You can transfer to and from the car parks via their free and frequent transfers, and while you're away you can have peace of mind knowing your vehicle is protected by fencing, 24-hour patrols and CCTV.

The closest hotels to East Midlands airport

All of our East Midlands airport hotels are in close proximity to the terminal, but if your priority is being as close as possible, there are several hotel and parking options no more than 5 minutes away from the airport. These are a fantastic option if you want more time for a lie-in, or for a meal before or after your flight, as they keep transfer times to a minimum.

Jury's Inn - Situated at the entrance to the airport, the Jury’s Inn is the closest hotel to East Midlands and it won’t take you more than a few minutes to walk to the terminal. Parking is within the hotel grounds so you’ll just need to drive straight to the Jury’s Inn and find a space. Your vehicle will stay there for the duration of your holiday and on your return just walk back to where you left it.

Radisson Blu - The Radisson Blu is our top pick for anyone who is planning a hasty departue. Located just 2 minutes from the terminal - guests can transfer via a complimentary shuttle - they offer additional services such as express checkout and a “grab and run” breakfast for guests who need to leave in a hurry. Parking is arranged within the grounds of the hotel, so you’ll just need to drive straight to the Radisson Blu and find a space . Your car will stay there while you’re away, and when you return take the shuttle back to the hotel to collect it.

Packages including parking at Long Stay 4 - Another way to ensure minimum transfer time is to opt for a hotel package including parking at the Long Stay 4 car park. With these packages, you’ll need to drive to your chosen hotel first where you’ll park for the duration of your stay, and transfer from there to the car park. Transfers from the Long Stay 4 take just 5 minutes and run every 10 minutes so you’ll be at the airport in no time. In addition, you’ll have peace of mind that your vehicle is parked in a highly secured car park, complete with 24-hour patrols, CCTV and fencing.

  • Holiday Inn Derby with parking at Long Stay 4

With all the familiar comforts of a Holiday Inn brand, this 3-star accommodation is a great choice for families travelling on a budget - children under 12 eat free in the Trader’s restaurant, and there are plenty of family rooms. Parking with this package is situated at the Long Stay 4 car park, meaning you’ll need to park at the hotel while you stay and then move your vehicle to the Long Stay 4. From there, you can take one of the complimentary shuttles to the airport - they run frequently - and when you land just take the return shuttle back to pick up your car.

  • Days Inn with parking at Long Stay 4
  • The Days Inn is a 3-star hotel situated at the A50 Welcome Break service station between Junctions 1 and 2, so it’s really simple to find. The rooms are basic but equipped with all the necessities - an en-suite bathroom, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a comfortable bed and a flat-screen TV - and there’s free WiFi throughout the hotel so you can stay connected. If you book this package, your parking will be at the Long Stay 4 car park, so you’ll need to park for the duration of your overnight stay and then move your car to the Long Stay 4. You can transfer to and from the airport via their free and frequent shuttles, which take just 5 minutes and run 24 hours a day.

  • Best Western Nottingham Derby with parking at Long Stay 4
  • The Best Western Nottingham Derby is a contemporary 3-star hotel just a few minutes away from the airport. The rooms are stylish yet comfortable; there’s an on-site bar and restaurant and even a lounge to unwind in - plus unlimited free WiFi for guests who like to keep connected. If you book this hotel, your parking will be at the Long Stay 4 so you’ll need to park at the hotel overnight then make your way to the car park the following morning. Simply find a free space and then take one of the free and frequent shuttles to the terminal - when you’ve landed take a return shuttle back to where you left your vehicle.

Mystery hotels

Our ‘Mystery hotel’ packages are a great way to save money on your airport stopover - the hotel you’re booking is kept a secret until your reservation is made, but this enables us to sell it at a lower price. We provide plenty of information to help you choose a hotel that meets your requirements - including the star rating, transfer information and parking arrangements - but the name is only revealed to you once the booking has been made. If you don’t have a particular hotel in mind then it’s a great way to save a little money on your overnight stay with parking.
