New flights from East Midlands Airport
May saw the launch of East Midlands Airport's very first flights to Cancun, Mexico and Orlando, Florida.Staff at the Nottingham East Midlands Airport treated their Florida-bound passengers to a taste of Americana with a pancake breakfast, Disney toys for the kids and a three-piece country and western band. The Orlando flight should be popular with holiday makers wanting to explore Disney World and Universal Studios Florida.
Cancun passengers were also entertained with traditional Mexican cuisine served up by staff in sombreros and ponchos.
East Midlands Airport's staff and crew were keen to celebrate their very first long-haul flights, which also includes trips to the Dominican Republic. These flights are a big step for this UK Airport as it builds it's reputation in the international market.
