Long Stay Leeds Airport The jolly banter and happy smiling faces on all the passengers, even though it was cold and raining. If I'm being honest, it was a bus ride that was unavoidable, and everyone was looking miserable and just wanted to get to/from the airport. I can't say any of it was enjoyable. It was, however, quick and easy from start to finish. My only negative was that I feel the airport pick-up point should be clearly marked as I took absolutely no notice of where I was dropped off on my outward journey. Other than that, top marks. We had a 24 hour delay, but I had paid £5 extra fortunately so expected the same service on departure. When attempting to exit the car park I had to wait and communicate with someone who answered the buzzer. However, only one transfer bus was running between the carpark and the airport terminal, which means a frustrating waiting period of at least 10-15 minutes if you have just missed it! Same on the return to the car, yet I counted four buses parked up near stop 3 not being used. So no problem using long term car park provided you build in delay into your travel plans. Plenty of spaces further away though. On our return the car was fine and as we left it. Leaving the car park the ANPR worked first time again and we were on our way. We had paid an extra £5 in case of delays (THE DELAY WE SUFFERED DID NOT INCUR THIS CHARGE). Having waited for 8 minutes and feeling REALLY FRUSTRATED AND TIRED a voice spoke to us and requested the name attached to the booking, once he had the information requested the barrier was raised and we could commence our onward journey. We had to press for assistance and response was not immediate. The car in the lane next to us appeared to be experiencing similar problems. Our exit time at the barrier was an unwelcome delay to our homeward journey and ironically we had arrived 20 minutes earlier than booked on our departure date, due to favourable traffic conditions and were denied entry. On our most recent visit in August the barrier system on entering and exiting the car parks had been upgraded meaning there was no need to have your booking confirmation form with you to scan . The barrier now allows access on recognising your vehicle registration. Long Stay Leeds Airport All was well, and I would have been pleased if it had not been for the fact that I had fallen over the sidewalk toward the Long stay car park, someone thoughtlessly installed a chain on the sidewalk that would pass people up to their knees without additional marking in the form of red and white tape. I suffered serious bruising on my right leg. And so I was lucky I did not break my arm or I could have a head injury. I ask the administration to properly mark this place or suspend this chain at the appropriate height. I will check it the next time I visit this parking lot. The last time this week the ticket that I received when leaving the car was not accepted and said that I owed £194 even when it was prepaid. We didn't have to wait at all for the bus from the car park and returning to it The only suggestion we have is it would be a good idea for the driver to call out at each stop the actual parking zone so the passengers know when to get off the bus.
