Information for travellers affected by the situation in Greece

Monday June 29th

There is currently a financial crisis in the Greek economy. This is causing problems with local banks, and public services have been disrupted by strikes and demonstrations. This isn't likely to cause a problem for your holiday, though, and the UK Foreign Office has confirmed there is no reason to cancel your flight, so long as you take some precautions.

You should:
Carry plenty of local currency in cash as you may have difficulty taking any more money out if the situation causes issues at local banks.
Keep your passport on you at all times so you can identify yourself as a British citizen.
Make sure you have travel insurance cover to get you home in case of an emergency.
The Foreign Office suggests that you avoid drinking to excess or being disruptive as the local police will be on high alert.

If you have any more questions, you can reach us on 0800 977 4276 or +441303 816498 from mobiles or when you're calling from abroad. Our contact centre is open from 08:00 to 23:00 today.

You can also cancel your booking by filling in this form and we will call you back in less than 48 hours to help. Our normal terms and conditions will apply.
