Before Boarding at Exeter Airport

Before you board a flight at Exeter Airport, there is a lot to plan and think about - what steps do you need to take and what will the procedures be like? Things to consider include booking Exeter airport parking, checking-in, and proceeding through the security gates.

Parking at Exeter Airport

If you are arriving at Exeter Airport by car, the first step will be to find a parking space. There are several long stay car parks at Exeter, all of which are well secured, and good value.

Airparks can arrange for you to leave your car at Exeter Long Stay Car Park 2, Exeter Long Stay Car Park 3, or Exeter Long Stay Car Park 4. These car parks differ slightly in location.

Alternatively, you can use the Exeter Fly Parks meet and greet service for maximum convenience.

Transferring to the airport

Transferring between car parks and the airport is simple at Exeter Airport. The Long Stay Car Park 2 is within walking distance of the terminal building, with a route clearly signposted. The other long stay car parks are a short bus ride away from the terminal. These bus services are free.

Checking in

After finding your airline desk in the terminal building, you can check in your bags and pick up your flight tickets. Before checking in any bags, you should remember to transfer any liquids from your hand luggage to the luggage you are checking in.

Passing security

Once your bags are checked in, you can proceed through airport security. You and your hand luggage will be scanned, and your passport and ticket will be checked.

Finding the gate and boarding

After coming through security, you will be in the departures lounge. All that will be left to do will be to find your departure gate. Your departure gate will be visible on screens located in the departure lounge. If you cannot find your gate, members of staff will help you find it. At the gate you can board the plane.
