Planned Protest at Heathrow
A planned demonstration against further expansion will be taking place at the eastern side of Heathrow airport on Saturday 31 May and is expected to cause delays.
BAA and the Metropolitan Police are working with the organisers of the march in an effort to reduce the impact on the operation of Heathrow airport but travellers to Heathrow are advised to allow extra journey time
The protest will commence at Hatton Cross tube station then proceed to Sipson Village. Please be aware of the following road closures:
- Envoy Avenue (westbound), Eastern Perimeter Road (southbound) Northern Perimeter Road (south/eastbound) and Nene Road (eastbound) will be closed from 7am and reopened after the march has passed through.
- The A4 Bath Road between Harlington Corner and Sipson Road, A408 Sipson Road and local roads in Sipson will be closed for a short period in the afternoon. One way systems will be in place between Waggoners Roundabout and Stanwell Moor Road.
- The Parking Express long stay car park will only be accessible from the northbound/westbound direction on the Eastern Perimeter Road.
If you're travelling to Heathrow airport during this time, remember to allow extra journey time to allow for any delays. For all the latest news and unbeatable prices on airport parking, remember to check back with Airparks.
