Premier Inn with parking at Long Stay Picked up the car upon return from holiday to be advised that I had to pay a further ā¬£21 in order to exit the car park. I had informed you that the plane was not due in until approx.00 yet your staff advised me, in a 'couldn't care' attitude that I had 'overstayed'. As I was travelling with 2 young children, had just come off a 5 hour flight and had a 2/3 hour drive home, I paid the excess. This situation does not lie easily with me. I will be content with a refund and an apology. I would be happy for you to publish these comments as I will airing my unhappiness quite openly with any people whom I know to be travelling from Glasgow airport. Holiday Inn From checking in to the hotel,then dropping the car off and getting back to the hotel was all extremely efficient.We only regretted not booking a 3 course meal in advance, as it looked to be a great offer. Booking the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport and Swiftpark together was excellent value for money and a brilliant start to our holiday. Normandy On arrival first impression of the exterior of the building was not to good but reception staff were very nice and friendly, room was small but adequate for one night stay nicely decorated with tea/ coffee making facilities had dinner in the restaurant and the food was lovely reasonably priced to. Normandy The service was great - easy to park and near the airport. Both drivers we had were helpful and very chatty. Hotel room was more than adequate - very clean, plenty of space and everything we needed. Staff at hotel couldn't have been nicer. No hassle with pick up from airport. Normandy Was unable to pay the special price for dinner on arrival (ouldn't book dinner in advance as a 4 hour journey in bad weather so could not predict an arrival time). Premier Inn The hotel staff and accommodation were up to standard. However the staff at the car park were not helpful. We arrived at nearly midnight,the weather was terrible, and my daughter when collecting the car was basically handed the keys and was left to get on with it. She had to ask if it was OK to leave the cases while she took the car seats to the car. Some assistance would have been appreciated. The car parking deal is decent, the food was fine and the staff were pleasant. That's all the good bits. The entrance was filthy with cigarette buts, the car park is full of pot holes, the interior spaces are shabby and dirty. Our room was shabby and downright dangerous as both our kids burnt their fingers of the low level metal wall lights and still bear the scars a fortnight later. Unbelievably a set of bunk beds are situated right next to one of those lights which as I then found out to my own cost are too hot to touch even to switch off! All relevant photos taken and considering further action now that we are back in the country. Normandy Disappointing when we returned after a very long flight, to find there was a mix up with our car having been returned to the car park. Resulted in quite a delay.
